When you explore the town of Seaside, hidden behind forests of cypress trees and nuzzled against the sandy shore of Florida’s Gulf Coast, you feel as if you’ve discovered a paradise frozen in time. The white picket fences, neighborly behavior, and town square take you back to a simpler, slower, quieter time. It’s the perfect scene for a vintage wedding, particularly during the spring.

Once you discover the beach-side city of Destin, it is likely to stay in your heart and your memory forever. It is a place where families come together, where hard workers come to take it easy, and where those in need of a getaway come to escape. In light of the many different reasons people come to visit Destin, there is one unique feeling people have when they leave. They instantly feel nostalgia for the sunsets, the beach, and the people.

Summer is here, and many of us have trips or vacations on the horizon. Think back to your last vacation or holiday. You probably created some great memories then, but did you notice your prayer routine may have faltered during that time? Vacations can be difficult for Catholics when it comes to maintaining a prayer routine. Typically, I love to start my morning with the Blessed is She Daily Devotion or open my Bible and meditate on a passage. But on my last trip, early morning flights and late nights really threw a wrench into my routine. Since then, I’ve been thinking of ways to remain prayerful while traveling.
